4. Okay. Right now I think this is at least an 8/10 masquerading as a 4/10. It’s a four for me right now because I’m unclear about the problem this is addressing. The ‘who’ is ‘health conscious people’ which I get a good general sense of. The result you’re offering is to help them ‘maintain nutritional status’ and I’m not sure what that means or why it’s important. Does that mean simply that they don’t go deficient? I’m also unclear on the relationship between the fact that they’re taking medications and their nutrition. Is there a direct link? Do these meds impact their nutrition levels? And what kinds of meds are we talking? Pain meds? antidepressants? antivirals? etc. And for what issues? Also – you talk about the strategic use of foods and supplements. But strategic to what ends? Right now this lands as a bit vague but my guess is there’s something much clearer lying right under the surface.

Niching Contest Participant Comments:

9.5/10: Thank you for for willing to share your knowledge and expertise on how we of the population that don’t fully understand which certain supplements to take when on medication. To get us back to a healthier state. Thank you.

7/10: What I am wondering is if you are helping people on medications to avoid negative supplement/nutrient interactions. Or, are you helping them to counter the nutrient depleting properties of the medications they are taking (such as statins depleting CoQ10, metformin depleting B12, etc.). Or both? I also think the term “health conscious” is a little broad. I can think of specific groups that might need your services more than others, such as the elderly, people undergoing treatment for cancer, etc. but because of what you do you may not need to define it any more than you already have.

8.5/10: I’m not exactly sure who you serve but I’m imagining you can help the thousands of people that don’t know what foods and supplements that they can take while they are on medications so that there are not negative interactions and also so that they can maximize the benefit of food nutrition while on medications. Given that, your service is so needed. I support you and encourage you to keep going and tweak this a bit to really communicate what you do! All best to you and all of your clients Leesa!

6/10: I am not entirely sure if your niche is niche enough and the medications and foods/supplements through me – but I think I get what you are trying to do!

8/10: I’m trying to think who might think of themselves, “Well, I’m not health conscious…” Think about what is getting in the way of thinking about health and “nutritional status.” To me, this sounds like you might be talking about people on heavy meds for particular conditions, maybe a life-threatening or potentially fatal illness (cancer treatment), which, if I’m right, needs to be said.

6/10: Much more potential with small changes. What is ‘maintaining nutritional Status’? Why is it beneficial for me/them to maintain this?

Would replace “nutritional status” with “optimal nutrition”

4/10: is the “health conscious” part necessary? Feels like it still needs something to punch this up somehow. Not really engaging me yet.

8/10: It sounds very clear to me and certainly something natural health practitioners get asked for help with, I would say 8 and i like your website . Looks like a resource I could direct clients to.

7/10: This is a great idea. Like somebody else said, I would like to see more of an idea of what “nutritional status” means, as everyone has one that’s not necessarily good. I think it should also try to convey why this is something people should want.

7/10: Most of my thoughts are already in the comments above. A few little tweaks and this will be solid. Supplements can be so confusing for the layperson. I know it took me like a week to choose mine, and I am not even on medications! I am still shooting in the dark really. I am glad you exist to help the rest of us figure it out!

7/10: What a great niche! I get it though I had to think a little hard about exactly what problem I might have that you are helping me with and maybe also. Nutritional status could be a bit more emotionally grabbing?
