Tad’s Comments:

I’d give this a solid 8. What might make it a ten for me is if you were to defining what you meant by creative pros. What are the top three types you’re hoping to attract? Writers? Illustrators? Graphic designers? Painters? Sculptors? Musicians? Etc.

Clearly the problem you’re addressing is that these creative pros are uninspired, not feeling that they have the space or time needed to create and they’re feeling burned out — which might be worth naming (though it’s implied and sometimes nice to just name positively as you’ve done).

Are they under a deadline often? Do they come to you with a project that needs to happen now or with a book they’ve been meaning to write forever? Do they live in the big city and work for “the man?”

I could also see adding “. . . dedicated to the arts/artists” at the end.

I would love to visit this some day.

Niching Contest Participant Comments:

9/10: Um, could I please come tomorrow?! It sounds dreamy and immediately attracts me. I do find the wording a bit clunky, I wonder if you could use the term “retreat?” As in “I offer creative professionals a retreat to re-inspire, to create and rejuvenate . . .”

Sounds really intriguing, though I’m not completely sure what that actually means. Do I stay at a castle with you? Is your service the castle stay or something you do with me or for me at the castle?

7.5/10: I’d like to know a bit more exactly what this would do for me?

8.5/10: Only because I am unsure of what kind of creative pro’s. I know we are all creative beings but with the work you do, is it for creative business pro’s, artists, authors, musicians, etc? I can envision the castle though. Dreamy!

8/10: Sounds awesome! Agree that the sentence just needs some grammatical tweaking. Awesome business concept.

8/10: Sounds lovely! But what kind of “creative pro’s” are you looking for? Writers? Painters? Architects? Actors? I’m not sure who to send your way.

7/10: I sorta see what you do, need more info.

8/10: I’m intrigued. But then I wonder if any creative professional income can afford it, or if you are targeting highly successful creative professionals (not starving ones). If they’re looking to be re-inspired, are they burned out? Do you provide the location only? Or do you also provide meals? Do they get the whole castle to themselves? Or is it more like a bed and breakfast or a hotel?

9/10: I like it. I’m ready to move in! But where is it close by or in Ireland?

7/10: Seeing this, I have more questions than answers which means it needs to be more clear.

I’d love I’d you included something about having a retreat/time to work on their projects. That just sounds so appealing and rejuvenating for the soul.

Sybil Cope’s Reflections:

Thanks for all the fantastic feedback. I am so thrilled you have all been so constructive and encouraging. We mainly have visual artists and writers coming but we are open to anyone who needs a retreat for time to work on their projects.
