Tad’s Comments:

Alisoun, this is a 9 for me. Very clear sense of who you want to work with and what result you’re offering. The piece that is confusing, but intriguing, is the “social impact” piece. It’s not something they’re going to be craving. I can promise none of them lie awake at night thinking to themselves, “if only I could get more clients with the kind of social impact I want.” I don’t think it’s even a thought for most of them. And yet I think it’s the most unique and compelling part of your work! I wonder if it could be said in a way like, “turning selling into social activism – how holistic practitioners and service – professionals can turn the way they get clients into a force for positive change itself.” Or something. In 120 characters. I love what you’re about. Keep it up!

Niching Contest Participant Comments:

Now there’s a compelling statement that would cause me to check you out further – “I help holistic practitioners & coaches grow their business by giving not selling, and supporting charitable causes.”

Great!

Two points: service professionals – is not very specific. Other point: the social impact intrigues me, I’d like to know more.

9/10: The service professionals threw me off as to who they would be in conjunction with holistic practitioners. I don’t think you mean wait staff but that’s what first jumped to mind. Maybe you’re meaning holistic service professionals as well and it’s just a word order thing. Curious, who would be a holistic service professional as opposed to a practitioner?

8/10: I’m not sure what you mean by “service-professionals” when adjacent to “holistic practitioners.” The wording of the last phrase, “to attract more clients with heart, integrity and social impact” is awkward and unclear. I think you mean that you help your clients retain their heart and integrity and have a social impact while they are attracting more clients. But the order of the words doesn’t portray that – it suggests instead that your clients are themselves attracting clients with heart and integrity. . . I suggest playing with word ordering.

8/10: Clean and clear.

Very professional. The tag is very clear too. Although I feel heart and integrity are over used. I guess you are a coach? I am wondering if you could re-word the last part. But it rocks!

5/10: Due to wording. I don’t know if you are helping practitioners attract the perfect clients who have heart, integrity and social impact or if you are helping the practitioners to have those qualities.

10/10: A 10!

Alisoun Mackenzie’s Reflections:

Thanks Tad, your feedback is very much appreciated. Yes I’ve recently been thinking that people are not lying in bed worrying about what I offer and that I need to hone my core message more. I love the idea of saying something around “helping holistic practitioners and coaches to turn the way they get clients into a force for positive change” – I’ll keep working and testing my core message until it becomes clearer for more people!
